New List of Joomla SEO Extensions

Today I’ve added a complete list of the SEO Tools to Alledia.com. I believe its the only place online where all of these are gathered together in one easy-to-read list.   These are all extensions that I feel can safely be recommended for use with Joomla. Each one helps improve search engine optimization on your Joomla site in at least one key way. Some, such as JPromoter and JoomSEO are included in several categories. Each category is listed alphabetically.   Click here to see the complete list of Joomla SEO Tools.

Drupal Looking for New Revenue Sources

Fascinating to see Drupal considering different ways to raise money for their project. It seems that every successful Open Source project ends up asking the same question: “How can we get the resources to keep growing and improve our standards?” Some Drupal community members are already raising pertinent questions in the forum so it will fascinating to see how this plays out: Drupal Association membership pricing survey. 6 Reasons Why SEO and Design Don’t Work

I don’t often piggyback on someone else’s work in blog posts, but this article was too good not to share (and besides, I became an uncle again in the last week and so I’m heading off to see the little one soon). In effect he’s typo-squatting the whole of .com but doing it legally because none of the typos are actually registered. He’s "a devout Christian" but accusations are flying around that he makes money from genuine typosquats such as BritiskAirways.com and from adult…

Make Your Joomla Site Search More User Friendly

As Microsoft will tell you, one of the hardest things in the world to get right is search.  Neither Simple Machines, Drupal or Joomla have acheived really satisfying search results. In fact I’ll often go outside of the Joomla forums and search them using Google because the results are more relevant than SMF’s own answers. Its not surprising – Google emply 1000s of people to get their results right. Open Source projects don’t have that luxury.
