sh404SEF Becomes Better and Better, SerrBizSEF Become Free
I had the pleasure of testing out the latest version of sh404SEF over the weekend. Yannick just keeps making his component better and better.
This latest version is 1.2.4x although the difference between Yannick really needs to get a new release numbering system. The improvements between 1.2.4a and 1.2.4x is greater than most developers manage between 0.1 and 10.0. It really is becoming the 800 pound gorilla of SEF tools.
The new version isn’t available yet, but here’s a sneak peak at the upcoming improvements:

New Joomla Site With 1 Million Unique Visitors Per Month
Sites that reach a million people per month are few and far between, but a new Joomla site has just launched with that level of traffic.
TNAWrestling.com is the main portal for one of the biggest wrestling organizations in the U.S.. During its first few days it was getting over 1000 simultaneous hits and the site is running smoothly.
The site was developed by Fotis and the Joomlaworks.gr team, under the guise of their main company Komrade.gr.

The two winners of our final SEO eBook competition were noneck and David Towers. Congrats, guys. If you can email me via the contact form, I’ll send the prizes.
Also, we’re now giving away free Page Rank 6 links. There’s now a module on the right-hand side of the blog thats lists "Top Comment Posters". If you are one of the top 10 posters, your picture will appear there along with a link to your site. The link is taken from the "website" field in your Community Builder profile.
Note – you have to be logged in for your comments to count. Click to register here and post comments in the normal place 😉
Update – we’ve checked with Azrul, the developer of Jomcomment, and he’s kindly allowed us to provide our hack of the top posters module that we’re using. Click here to download.

Google Analytics Goals in Joomla
There’s been a lot of talk in SEO circles recently about conversions.
Its easy to tell how much money you’re making, but how do you test how well your site is converting well? How do you tell which pages are inspiring people to buy your products? How do you find out where the good customers are coming from and which sites are just sending you time-wasters and tire-kickers? Goals in Google Analytics.

Joomla 1.5 Release Candidate 3 Out Now
Joomla! 1.5 RC3 (codename: Takriban) is now available for download and a stable version is "very close".
It’s been 10 weeks since Release Candidate 1 and five weeks since Release Candidate 2. That maybe a good guide to when we can expect the stable version (fingers crossed!).
The SEO is getting better with each version and hopefully the stable version will feature even more improvements.
Overall, if you’re serious about your sites SEO, I’d recommend patience when it comes to upgrading because quite a few important features are still lacking (unique page titles and SEF URL automapping being the two most important) but I’ve no doubt that they’re coming soon, either in the core or via plugins.
