Over the last year our business model has evolved quite substantially. From being a traditional webdesign firm we’ve increasingly focused on Joomla training. After starting slowly last summer, we’re now holding up to 15 classes per month.
We’re proud to announce that we’ve scheduled our 100th Joomla class.
We’ve also decided to make it special. The 100th class will be completely free to non-profit or charity organizations.

For several months now I’ve been hinting that we have a major geographic domain name to launch on Joomla.
Well, life got in the way … the Joomla training classes became really popular, we had other sites to launch and almost everyone we work with is having a baby this year.
So, although its missing a lot of features that are currently unpublished and being worked on, its time to soft-launch AppalachianTrail.com. The A.T. is huge, running all the way along the eastern side of the U.S.. It starts in Maine, up by the Canada border, and finishes down in Georgia, about an hour north of Atlanta.
Its time for us to put the coffee on and get some more Red Bull … starting tomorrow we’ll have a really busy week over at Joomla Training. In total, there are 8 classes in 8 days coming up on the JoomlaTraining.com schedule, including 3 in the Mid-West, 2 in Texas and 3 in the South-East.
All three classes are led by our expert teacher, Rod Martin. They take place at the beautiful Mets Center on the Ohio and Kentucky border, right next door the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. About four tickets are left for each of these classes:
Time moves quickly. We did our first Joomla class in June 2008 and little more than a year later we’re approaching class number 50.
Our 49th class is in Phoenix this Friday and then the big #50 will be our beginner class in Atlanta next week. To celebrate, Christmas is coming early to our students in that 50th class. We’ve arranged for a huge bag of Joomla goodies.
If you can’t make it to Atlanta, don’t worry. At our current rate, we’ll reach class #100 around Christmas time and we’ll make sure the bonus bag for that class is even bigger and better! Here are the bonuses for our 50th class students:

We don’t launch a new template very often, but when we do it needs to be special.
Back in October last year, we created Bolt which was the fastest ever Joomla template. Now we’re happy to release Breeze, which is the easiest Joomla template ever.
EASY: Breeze has exactly the same configuration as Joomla’s default Milkyway template so all you need to is upload the template and your logo. No other set-up needed!

It’s been a great week (and as a consequence, you might have noticed less blogging) … its was my birthday, my sister’s birthday, my wife’s birthday … oh and my sister-in-law had a baby too (Rory, on the right here)

It is that time of the year again … I’m headed back the U.K. for a couple of weeks.
Mainly the trip will be family-orientated as I’ve sisters who are graduating, getting married and having babies. There’s a lot to catch up on!
However, it’s a rare vacation nowadays that doesn’t involve Joomla in some way. So we’re holding two Joomla training classes, one in Cambridge on June 25th and another in London on July 1st.
Both classes will be identical to the ones we run in the U.S. with the same materials, resources, price and even the same bad wisecracks. I may just have to edit the Powerpoints a little to replace somes “z”s with “s”s and find some Essex jokes to replace the Redneck ones.

Alledia is based down in the south of the United States in Atlanta. We started our Joomla training classes here and by the end of June we’ll have run almost a dozen Atlanta classes.
Its time to spread the Joomla gospel (the Jospel?) a little further around the south so early next week we’re headed to Charlotte, North Carolina and the Music City of Nashville, Tennessee. We’ll be in Charlotte on Monday 8, and Nashville on Tuesday 9.
